Festival Fever #1

I am attending V festival this weekend and I am super excited. I am very sad to say that I am a festival virgin. I've forever drooled and lusted over disposable images of groups of friends sat round tents looking so messy come hippie cool having a great time, but sadly said images never did anything for my own friends. Alas, I have finally found some festival companions and off to V I head with the hope that the next stop will be an ultra cool European festival like Benicassim, Sonar, Sziget or the ultimate - Glastonbury. But now lets not run before we can crawl.

White Trousers

THRIFTED Blazer//H&M Cami and Trousers//TOPSHOP Heels//WAREHOUSE Purse

As you may have noticed, I am on a kick to try and wear everything in my wardrobe, especially all those old pieces that haven't had a good run in a while. Starting this blog has really helped me in this process and I'm really enjoying seeing my clothes in a new light. I have so many clothes (well so my friends say, I would of course argue otherwise) and this often makes it easy to forget the older items.
I've had these white trousers for the longest time, being the lil shorty that I am, I can only wear them with heels so I thought i'd go all out dressy for this outfit.
Restyling the old clothes in your wardrobe is challenging, in a nice way, and so so so refreshing. Plus you feel so good for having not gone out and spent money. Everyone should give it a go! But makesure you have a sensible old clear out first.

NONI'S KITCHEN// Blonde Brownies

I'd never even heard of blonde brownies until I stumbled upon this recipe. They're lovely and goey, just they way I love my brownies. For those of you, who like me were unawares, blonde brownies are just brownies without the need for chocolate. I know I know, you're thinking what is even the point, but trust me, they're good. I decided to add some chocolate chips as I had some lying around anyway. Next time I shall definitely also add some nuts, maybe walnuts or macadamias (my weakness).

Ingredients:

125g (1 cup) sifted plain flour
225g (1 cup) packed brown sugar
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/8 tsp bicarbonate of soda
1/2 tsp salt
75g (1/3 cup) butter, melted
1 egg, beaten
1 tbsp vanilla extract
110 (2/3 cup) milk chocolate chips

Preheat the oven to 180°C. Grease a 9x9 inch baking pan.
Sift the flour, baking powder, bicarbonate of soda, salt (and nuts and chocolate chips) into a bowl, mix well and set aside.
In another bowl mix the brown sugar and melted butter, allow to cool, then add the vanilla extract and beaten egg and mix well.
Gradually add the flour mixture, mixing until just combined. Spread into prepared tin and bake for 20 to 20 minutes.

Enjoy! Noni xx
